Woman Accused of Setting Up Robbery

An Evansville woman was arrested about 1-o’clock this morning in connection with a robbery last week.

Police believe 19 year old Harleigh McCaslin asked a man to come to the Motel 6 last Wednesday and bring drugs.

When the victim arrived, he was met by McCaslin, and a man later identified as Xavier Thompson, who threatened the victim with a hatchet.

Officers say when the victim tried to escape, Thompson hit him with the hatchet several times as the two struggled.

Then, the victim says — the suspects left in a car. Thompson apparently hasn’t been arrested yet.
