The President’s drive-by wave Sunday is creating frustration among those trying to contain the virus.
President Trump was seen Sunday in the back seat waving and wearing a mask.
Medical personnel say the other people in the black SUV were exposed to the Coronavirus.
The White House insisted in a statement that “appropriate precautions were taken,” and that, “the movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do.”
A Walter Reed attending physician blasted the stunt tweeting, “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days.”
The CDC says any movement of a hospitalized COVID patient outside their room should only be done for “medically essential purposes.
