Man Chases Woman with Knife

Evansville police are called to the Circle K convenience store at 41 and Washington a little before 5pm.

The 9-1-1 caller says a man was chasing a woman with a knife.

Arriving officers found the man detained, but he refused police orders to sit down during the investigation and was otherwise belligerent.

Officers say he had to be restrained in cuffs and leg irons.

A police spokesman at the scene said the man reported the woman he was chasing had taken his keys.

The man was also found in possession of synthetic marijuana.
