The man accused of causing a crash that killed three family members tells police that hardly remembers anything about the accident.
42-year old Damon Busby of Henderson is now in the Vanderburgh County Jail, charged with reckless homicide after being treated at the hospital.
According to police statements taken from witnesses, Busby ran a red light at 41 and Riverside and appeared to be speeding when he hit a minivan with three people inside.
A coroner’s report says Crystal Lawrence and her two children died on impact.
Police say Busby told them he was driving to Evansville for lunch, and doesn’t remember driving fast.
He says the only thing he remembers about the crash was that he ran into a semi.
There is an account set up at 5th 3rd Bank for donations to help the victims family cover funeral expenses.
