Henderson County students opened their academic year a few weeks back with virtual instruction.
But today, some of those students could be headed back to the classroom.
The school district is mounting a soft opening — only allowing students to return in groups of 10, and they’ll stay in the classrooms from an hour and a half to two hours.
The program is for students needing special instruction such as reading and math intervention, mental health counseling and other needs.
