Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding announced Thursday he is switching parties. Wedding has been Sheriff since 2014, and ran both times as a Democrat. Wedding is not the only southern Indiana sheriff to flip political parties, Posey County Sheriff Tom Latham made the switch back in June, citing his objections to police reforms being promoted amid racial unrest around the country.
