The father of a 9-month old baby shot to death last week made his initial court appearance on Wednesday.
Iowa Meriweather died last Friday after being shot in the head.
Her father, 20 year old Anthony Meriweather was formally charged with neglect of a dependent causing death.
Initially, Meriweather told police the baby was shot in a drive-by, but then say he accidentally fired a gun inside the Vista Drive apartment.
He’s being held in lieu of $50-thousand bond.
