We may have found the world’s most expensive peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It’s on the menu at Chicago’s West Loop restaurant, “Pizza Beer and Jukebox.” They call it the Golden Goose and you have to order it a day in advance.
It features Maison Dutriez’s Red Currant Jam, the “World’s Most Expensive Jelly,” which is hand seeded using goose quills. There’s also a generous spread of Adams all-natural peanut butter, toasted edible gold leaf bread, and a drizzle of New Zealand Manuka Honey. Restaurant owner, Matthew McCahill said, “The inspiration actually comes from when I was a child and we grew up very poor and we were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and then just peanut butter sandwiches, and then just peanut butter.”
Oh, and the price is just $350 bucks. Not sure if that comes with a bag of chips.
