First it was seeds, and now packages of face masks are showing up in people’s mailboxes.
They come from China.
Recipients say they didn’t order anything, and the package caught them off guard.
One recipient disinfected the package and opened it to find three cloth masks.
Others have found small seeds in unsolicited packages — seeds that officials urge recipients not to plant.
Other packages from China contained ping pong balls, puzzles and other items.
The Better Business Bureau says the items aren’t freebies — sellers use fake orders to generate product reviews in the names of those who receive the packages.
