The traditional infield crowd won’t be there for thsi year’s Kentucky Derby, nor will there be general admission seating for the event.
Churchill Downs says admission of fans will be limited to 14 percent of the total capacity of 2015.
That’s when a record crowd of almost 171-thousand persons attended the race.
That means there will be room for just about 23-thousand fans for the September 5 running of the Kentucky Derby.
Those who were holding general admission tickets can turn them in for refunds.
