The Indianapolis 500, which will be run later this month, will be without fans for the first time ever.
Rookie speedway owner Roger Penske has reversed himself, after insisting that the 500 wouldn’t be run without fans.
The Speedway says the pandemic had caused a re-think of the fan matter, and the reluctant decision was made to present the 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 without people in the stands.
