Henderson Municipal Power and Light officials say the utility will purchase 100 percent of the output from a new solar farm.
It’s part of a 20-year agreement.
A solar zoning ordinance for the county was approved last year.
General Manager Chris Heimgartner says the decision was based on the bottom line.
Officials say the project could begin in 2022, and energy produced by the solar farm could be available by late 2023
