Evansville police say one person is dead following a traffic accident early this morning at Lynch Road and Maxx.
The crash involved two vehicles; one driver was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The driver of the other car had to be extricated and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who went to hospital had several dogs in the car with him, and preliminary investigation of the crash indicates that the dogs may have distracted the driver, contributing to the accident.
Animal Control has the dogs now.
