Evansville students learn they will be going back to school on August 19th, beginning the school year two weeks later than originally scheduled.
Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation Superintendent Dr. David Smith made the announcement at a press conference Friday afternoon.
He said they’ve been making plans for the start of upcoming school year since May but made this decision based on local health data and the rising number of coronavirus cases in the area just since July 1st.
