13 University of Evansville student-athletes have tested positive for COVID-19.
They reportedly attended an off-campus non-university sponsored social event. it’s suspected that’s where they picked up the infection.
Contact tracing is ongoing through the Vanderburgh County Health Department.
U-E has suspended voluntary workouts for all student-athletes.
The University is not releasing the names of the individuals affected, but says they all will follow a mandated 14-day self-isolation period.
