Union County’s Judge Executive is working out the details on a proposal to close the Union County Jail.
The county is considering a closure because of the amount of money it takes yo run it.
About 40 prisoners are currently housed in the jail.
There’s no time line yet as to when, or if, the matter could come to a vote in the county’s Fiscal Court.
