Health officials have given a conditional nod to the American Hydroplane Events organization, sanctioning Owensboro’s HydroFair, slated for August 14-16.
That means unless something changes, the race is on.
Right now, the corona virus trend in Daviess County is a positive one, and unless that reverses, the racing event on the Ohio River will get the green flag as planned.
Organizers say they will follow local, state and federal guidelines to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
