It’s a project that’s been in the works for a long time, and now it is on the way to becoming reality.
The $6.8 million Penguins of Patagonia exhibit is now under construction at Mesker Park Zoo.
Penguins from Peru and Chile will inhabit the exhibit, whose construction began while the zoo was closed for the pandemic.
If construction remains on track, the exhibit should open in the spring or summer of next year.
