The Hopkins County Fair has been cancelled for this year.
Fair President Bruce Jones says this is the first time in 50 years that the fair has been canceled.
In its place, a three day agricultural event for 4-H and FFA sponsored by the Hopkins County Farm Bureau Federation.
The Board is also working on plans to host the Teen, Pre-Teen and Miss Hopkins County pageants.
