Evansville police answer a call about a fight in the parking lot of the Franklin Street Tavern a little before three o’clock this morning.
Arriving officers were greeted by several witness who said someone had been stabbed, and the suspect, 33 year old Zachary Miller, was trying to leave.
Officers studied camera video that showed Miller pulling a knife on a group outside the bar.
21 year old Jacob Rice tried to tackle Miller from behind and was stabbed.
Miller went down and was punched and kicked by others.
He managed to get up and held his knife to another man’s throat.
The knife was recovered and Miller and Rice were taken to the hospital.
Both face charges.
