Foreigner has been around for a minute. Actually, around 40 years. While guitarist Mick Jones is the sole remaining original member, the other members of the band are no slackers and are professionals in their own right, and have also put in a long time with the band.

Vocalist Kelly Hansen has been fronting the band almost a decade and a half and he has a pretty great rock resume singing with Slash, Don Dokken and others. Bassist Jeff Pilson also performed with Dokken and Dio. Multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel has gone on the road with Aerosmith even performing with them at Woodstock 2, and has been multi-intrumental-ing with Foreigner for 25 plus years! He was they guy just WAILING on the saxophone last night. Mike Bluestein was excellent on the keys…he should be as he’s played with greats like Stevie Nicks, Enrique Iglesias, and even with the house band for Jimmy Kimmel Live. Bruce Watson was all over the stage on guitar apparently having a blast! He’s performs with BB King, Rod Stewart, Elton John and others. Drums with Chris Frazier keeping the beat strong…Chris has played with Eddie Money, Eddie Van Halen, Carole King and more.

So what happens when you put all that talent into one band? You get a high energy, 90 minute rock show choc full of songs you know all the words to. Add in the fact that Foreigner has been giving back, specifically to the
Shriners Hospital for Children
and also supporting music in the schools monetarily and by allowing a local choir to join them onstage during the song I Want To Know What Love Is.
Remember that Be A Choir Rockstar With Foreigner contest that WIKY had over the summer?
It came to fruition last night with the choir from Reitz High School on stage being rockstars! It.was.awesome!
