“This year is critical. Make-A-Wish is much more than a great vacation or a meet and greet with a celebrity. For our kids, the wish experience is the only thing they have had control in their lives for months, possibly even years,” said local Make-A-Wish Coordinator, Kristina Rhoades. “The experience gives them hope for their future. But, more importantly, it empowers them. This empowerment rolls over to their treatment. Parents and medical professionals consistently tell us the wish experience aided the child with their treatments and their recovery. It is truly a blessing to be able to play a small part in this organization.”

About Make-A-Wish Charity Golf Event
Make-A-Wish grants wishes to children battling life threatening medical conditions. All proceeds from the event will go directly to granting wishes to children in our community. Many of our children will recover or learn to manage their illnesses. The average cost of a wish is $8000 and we anticipate granting 50 wishes this year. Make-A-Wish has a critical need for funding and resources to make these wishes a reality. We cannot continue our mission without the generosity of people in our community. Make-A-Wish is there for the dark time in their life when they cannot get past the reality of the doctors, hospitals and treatments that are a constant reality for them.
