Whopperjawed!

Today I used the word "whopperjawed" on the air to refer to the signs at First Ave and Diamond.  A caller challenged my use of that word, telling me "You're not from around here, are you?". 

But look what I found:  The Online Slang Dictionary.  It shows the definition whopperjawed as "askew" but it also has a map where the word has been used.  The map show "Tell City" as a place where someone heard whopperjawed, so it is a local term.  I feel vindicated.
