I have Spirit...how about you?

This Saturday, June 28th is the annual Spirit Fest to raise funds for the Spirit Medical Fund.

I was lucky enough to meet this spirited gal named Spirit at last year's event.  She is getting older and is lucky to have a wonderful person that adopted her to see her into her golden years.  Although without help from the community she would have never had that chance.  Here is an adorable picture of Spirit that the Courier-Press ran a couple years ago.

That is why your help is needed to refill the coffers to help other pets that may need medical assistance when they find their way to animal control.

Please take a some time this Saturday to stop by Evansville Animal Care & Control to support the Spirit Fest.  They have several fun activities that will be fun for the family including an EPD K-9 demonstration.  Love watching those police dogs in action!  Plus it's a reminder to stay on the correct side of the law.

There will also be a Vaccine & Microchip Clinic from 1p-3p so you can get your pet's vaccines up to date if needed.

Of course another GREAT way to help is by adopting so take a walk through the kennels and see if there might be a dog or cat that would be a good fit for your family.

I have Spirit...

Do you?

Hope to see you Saturday.  More details on Spirit Fest here:  http://www.wiky.com/events/spirit-fest-evansville-animal-care-control-spirit-medical-fund
