Dishwashers aren't just for dishes anymore.

On the show this morning we brought up an interesting there anything other than dishes that you wash in your dishwasher?  My dad has washed his baseball hats in the dishwasher for years and swears by it!  He says they turn out just great, so who am I to argue with his logic?  It turns out that a lot of people are in agreement with my dad and keep their chapeaus clean the dishwasher way!

We heard from a lot of listeners and they clean everything from car mats to legos in their dishwasher.  One lady always washes her toothbrush in the dishwasher when she gets home from a trip. Another lady insists on washing potatoes in the dishwasher (no soap, though) before she bakes them!

But, I have to say my two favorite items to wash in the dishwasher have to be bowling balls.....holes down of course.  The man that called that in said that he uses no soap, but the hot water helps to get rid of the oil from the bowling alley that accumulates.  Makes perfect sense to me.  My other favorite was our listener who is cowboy shooting enthusiast and when he gets home from an event and is too tired to clean his pistols, the Colt 45's go right into the dishwasher. Who knew??  Just goes to prove that you do learn something new everyday.  Happy dishwashing!
